令和7年11月25日 – 東京を拠点に香港の自由と民主主義を求める活動を行う「レイディー・リバティー香港」は、香港特別行政区政府による昨今の日本に対する外交的圧力および敵対的な言動に対し、以下の通り声明を発表します。
1. 北京に追従する香港政府への強く非難 私たちは、李家超（ジョン・リー）行政長官が日本の高市早苗首相および日本政府に対して行った極めて攻撃的な発言、ならびに公式交流の停止措置を強く非難します。これらの行動は香港市民の利益を無視し、中国共産党の「戦狼外交」に盲目的に追従するものです。香港政府の態度は、長年築き上げられてきた香港と日本の友好関係を破壊し、国際都市としての香港の地位を自ら傷つける愚行に他なりません。李家超氏の発言は、自由を愛する香港人の声を代弁するものではありません。
2. 香港市民の日本への親愛の情は揺るがない 政府が政治的な対立を煽ろうとも、香港市民の日本に対する深い愛情と尊敬の念が変わることはありません。香港人にとって日本は、単なる観光地を超えた、文化と市民的価値観を共有する大切な友人です。現在報道されている訪日客の減少は、政府の威圧的な言動による不安が原因であり、市民の対日感情の悪化を示すものではありません。日本の皆様におかれましては、中国政府の傀儡である現香港政権の敵対的態度と、香港市民の真の心情を区別して頂くよう切に願います。
3. 日本の主権と地域安全保障への支持 レイディー・リバティー香港は、日本の主権に基づく自衛権の行使、および安全保障政策を決定する権利を全面的に尊重・支持します。権威主義的な拡張主義が強まる中、高市首相が「台湾有事」を日本の存立危機事態に関わると認識されたことは、東アジアの平和と安定を守る上で現実的かつ必要な判断であると考えます。私たちは、力による現状変更に反対し、「自由で開かれたインド太平洋」の維持に貢献する日本の役割を強く支持します。
私たちは今後も東京から、日港の市民間の架け橋となり、香港が再び民主主義世界の一員として日本と手を取り合える未来のために活動を続けてまいります。
Statement by Lady Liberty Hong Kong Regarding the Hong Kong Government’s Hostility Towards Japan
2025/11/25 – Lady Liberty Hong Kong, a diaspora organization based in Tokyo dedicated to the promotion of freedom and democracy, issues the following statement regarding the recent diplomatic escalation initiated by the Hong Kong SAR government against Japan.
1. We Condemn the Hong Kong Government’s Blind Allegiance to Beijing We strongly condemn Chief Executive John Lee for his recent inflammatory remarks against the Japanese government and Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. The decision to suspend official exchanges and politicize economic and cultural activities is a reckless move that serves only the interests of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), not the people of Hong Kong. By parroting Beijing’s "Wolf Warrior" rhetoric, the current administration is dismantling Hong Kong’s status as an international city and actively damaging the long-standing friendship between our two societies. John Lee does not speak for the free people of Hong Kong.
2. The Bond Between Hong Kongers and Japan remains Unbroken Despite the SAR government’s attempts to manufacture animosity, the affection Hong Kong people hold for Japan remains resolute. Japan has long been a second home for Hong Kongers—a place we admire not only for its culture and tourism but for its civic values. The drastic drop in tourism numbers is a result of political uncertainty and safety concerns caused by the government's rhetoric, not a loss of love for Japan. We urge the Japanese public to distinguish the hostile actions of the puppet administration from the genuine warmth of the Hong Kong people.
3. Support for Japan’s Sovereignty and Regional Security Lady Liberty Hong Kong fully respects and supports Japan’s sovereign right to self-defense and its prerogative to define its own security policies. In an era of increasing authoritarian expansionism, Prime Minister Takaichi’s recognition of the "Taiwan contingency" as a critical security concern is a realistic assessment of regional stability. We believe that a Japan capable of defending itself and its allies is essential for the preservation of peace, democracy, and a Free and Open Indo-Pacific. We stand with Japan in opposing unilateral changes to the status quo by force.
We will continue to work from Tokyo to bridge our communities and advocate for a future where Hong Kong can once again stand as a free partner to the democratic world.
